Responsible. Mature. Experienced.

I’m a full-time pet sitter certified by the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I have current dog and cat CPR certification and have completed training in pet first aid. I have extensive experience with cats and dogs, including senior animals and those with health issues.

I’ve lived with eight cats, seven dogs, one rabbit, one horse, one pony, one Quaker parrot, and two guinea pigs (not all at the same time!). Before I started doing this professionally, people I know entrusted me with the care of cats, dogs, horses, a rabbit, a chinchilla, an iguana, and many houseplants, and I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for an animal shelter.

When the animals I care for give me down time, I have a private practice as a genetic genealogist. Before launching Attentive Pet Sitting, LLC, I worked in higher education, health care, software companies, and environmental non-profits.

NAPPS Certified

To earn certification from the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, I had training (and proved my learning via testing) in pet first aid, care for many types of pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, exotics), and best practices in running a pet sitting business. Maintaining my certification requires ongoing continuing education.

Dog and Cat CPR Certified

I did my pet CPR training through the RECOVER Initiative, an organization created to develop and disseminate the first true evidence-based veterinary cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guidelines.
